Esther Serrano

Embarking late on an artistic career, Esther Serrano is interested in the three P's: painting, printmaking and photography. She is fascinated by the pigments’ qualities and their sound/rhythm. She is currently exploring how replications of the same image, using different techniques from across the centuries conveys different powers within that image, and their impact on the spectator. Her work is realistic and figurative.

After completing the two years Fine Art Course at City Lit in 2010, Esther Serrano went on to study at the Prince’s School of Traditional Arts, where David Cranswick introduced her to the Old Masters and their recipes. She has exhibited at the Society of Women Artist, The Mall Galleries, 25th June- 5th July 2014. In June 2013, she was preselected for the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts.

The Chocolate Factories in Wood Green, London N22, are a landmark development and hub of excellence for the creative industries in the UK.

The project started in 1996 when Collage Arts, an arts development agency, moved into the Chocolate Factory on Clarendon Road and converted several derelict floors of the Factory into artist studios.

What followed was a high demand for creative space and in 2002, Collage Arts renovated Chocolate Factory 2 on Coburg Road, next door.
