Antonella Ferrari

Antonella is a lens based media and installation artist currently living and working in London. Exploring universal themes about identity, closeness and separation, Antonella creates evocative works, which aim to involve the viewer into an intimate and immersive experience. Often manipulating contents to alter perceptions and suggest secondary meanings, her works employ a very subtle and accessible language, yet never provide a full resolution or a statement. Antonella is interested in evoking situations, exploring the in between and suggest other possibilities, thus inviting the viewer to engage with the work emotionally but leaving some space for personal response.

Born in Verona, Italy in 1975, Antonella has been living and working in London since 1994. She studied Fine Art at Central St Martins College of Art and Design, where she achieved a BA in 2003 and an MA in 2010.

The Chocolate Factories in Wood Green, London N22, are a landmark development and hub of excellence for the creative industries in the UK.

The project started in 1996 when Collage Arts, an arts development agency, moved into the Chocolate Factory on Clarendon Road and converted several derelict floors of the Factory into artist studios.

What followed was a high demand for creative space and in 2002, Collage Arts renovated Chocolate Factory 2 on Coburg Road, next door.
